Abstrakt

Jan Szumski published a book on the attitude of party and government authorities of the Soviet  Union to Polish historiography in the period 1945–1964. He used to prepare a monograph documents from Russian archives, previously unknown. This is important work for understanding the mechanisms of control of Polish science by Moscow after Second World War.
